Cozy Stone Fireplace & Bespoke Built-Ins

Our clients wanted to incorporate a fireplace into their warm, rustic home while preserving the oversized credenza they loved. The challenge was working within the existing layout without sacrificing this statement piece. Our solution was to thoughtfully modify the credenza, dividing it into two custom base cabinets that anchor the built-ins flanking the 20-foot fireplace. The scope of this project included:

• Extending gas line for new firebox
• Frame fireplace surround
• Run electrical lines for mounted TV and dimmable tape lighting for built-ins and install wall switch
• Apply thin stone veneer
• Install custom box beam mantle and bookshelves to tie into the repurposed cabinet bases
• Stain, paint, and seal woodwork
• Install firebox
